Morgan Le Fey, the mother of Mordred and the half sister and temporary lover of King Arthur. She was a priestess of the mystical Avalon. From a young age she was in love with her cousin, Lancelot, though he never returned her feelings. She was treated unfairly by Arthur's queen, Guinevere, who believed she wanted to take her throne. Morgan gave up her son at birth to an evil woman she thought was a friend. She never had a close relationship with her son because she didn't want Arthur to know they were connected. This was her biggest mistake. Mordred was raised by the wrong people, who made him feel like he was abandoned. He was fully aware that Arthur was his father, despite Morgan's attempts to silence the situation. Morgan loved both Arthur and her son but failed to save them from each other.
